Turbo Lane is the fast path for predictable conversions and transformations. You know what you have, you know what you want — Turbo Lane does the conversion and returns the result.
What it can do
- Image format conversion — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIF, SVG, RAW, and more
- Image compression — reduce file size while keeping quality
- Document conversion — PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX interchange
- PDF page operations — merge, split, extract pages, rotate, protect
- Audio and video conversion — change container or codec, compress, pull out the audio track
Around 56 file formats are supported across these categories — 26 image, 19 document, 6 video and 5 audio — which combine into 490+ image and document conversion pairs, plus the audio and video paths.
What Turbo Lane will not do
Reading text out of a picture, and turning speech into text, are not format conversions. Their cost grows with what is inside the file — how many pages carry no text layer, how many minutes of audio — so a free lane bounded by a file count cannot carry them.
Turbo Lane declines both and points you at Goal Lane, where the work is quoted in credits before it starts. You will see this as a clear message rather than an empty result.
Code, Infrastructure-as-Code and ML-model conversion are not part of Turbo Lane today, despite appearing in some older copy.
When to choose Turbo Lane
Turbo Lane fits whenever:
- The input and output are both specific ("I have a JPG, I want a PNG")
- The job does not need to read, summarize, or reason about content
- Speed and predictable cost matter more than tailored output
- You're processing a batch of similar items
For summarization, extraction with judgement calls, or multi-step pipelines, use Goal Lane instead.
Cost characteristics
Turbo Lane conversions are free on every plan — they consume no credits. Usage is governed by your plan's limits instead: maximum file size, concurrent jobs, and batch size.
